UVa uses your digital certificate to verify your identification before granting you access to certain protected resources at the University. Because certificates may be installed differently depending on the application you are using, you may have multiple certificates on your system.
- Using a UVa digital number is one of the most secure ways to have access to your account. But in case that you do not have a UVa digital certificate, you can also user your account with the help of the UVa Computing ID and Password which was already created during the registration process.
- All you have to do is feed in your UVa Computing ID and password in the space provided. And then hit the Log In button, with this step you will successfully completed your Login process and can have access to your account.
Note: It is very important to make sure that your account is secure and when you log out, you close the web browser once you have completely well.
On Windows : Close all Web browser windows.
Mac Users : Quit your Web browser.
Otherwise, your NetBadge access will last for 9 hours if you’re on Grounds (1 hour if you’re off Grounds)—and someone else can use your browser to log in as you.
How To Get A New personal Digital Number?
You have 2 options to download a new digital certificate:
- Automatically: Let the UVa Network Setup Tool download and install your certificate for you automatically, or
- Manually: Download and install your certificate manually.
Note: Prior to installing your digital certificate, verify that your computer’s system clock, date, and time zone are accurate. (Certificates are validated by date and time)
