- Open the web browser
At first you will need to open any available web browser from your personal computer or laptop. As per my suggestion, you would better opt either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to carry out this process. Since, these browsers are advanced and support any kind of website with an ease.
- Type hotmail.com
After you open the web browser, locate the address bar which can be seen on the top of the browser. In the address bar, either type or just copy and paste hotmail.com in it, and the hit search or press enter from your keyboard.
- Login to Hotmail
Since, Hotmail has been switched to Outlook, yet your Hotmail address will still work normally. So, you don’t have to be alarmed or fret about it. Thus, once you land on the page, in the login box enter your Hotmail address, password and then press login. After that, you will be taken to your Outlook inbox.
- Open the Mail Settings
On the new page, you will then need to click the Gear icon. The icon can be seen in the top right corner of the window, right next to your username. Once you click it, it will open a menu that comprises many basic options however among them click the more mail settings link in the menu.
- Click Safe and blocked senders
After you click the more mail setting link, you will be directed to box, where you will need to click safe and blocked senders. This can be found in the second column, below the “preventing junk mail” heading. Clicking this option will open a list of three options.
- Click Blocked senders
Among them click blocked senders. Clicking this will open a form that enables you to add the email addresses you wish to block. Remember, any mail received from that address will be automatically deleted, so be sure that you want to block that address.
- Add addresses to the list
Well, you can enter a specific email address or an entire domain inside the blank long rectangular grey stroke box. Then click Add to list rectangular grey box.
